Join Our Youth Advisory Committee: Nonbinary BIPOC Drop-In
We're launching an exciting new virtual drop-in program tailored for nonbinary BIPOC youth, and we're on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteers to join us. The best part? All committee meetings and weekly drop-in sessions take place online, making it accessible and convenient. So, you might be wondering, ""Can I participate?""If you're between 15-25 years old, identify as nonbinary, belong to the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Colour) community, and reside in the Toronto area, then the answer is a resounding YES. You don't need any prior skills or experience to get involved. We warmly welcome applications from various backgrounds, including youth aged 15-19, newcomer youth, trans feminine youth, asexual youth, intersex youth, and youth with disabilities.
You'll engage in approximately 10-12 meetings per year and play a crucial role in crafting and facilitating our weekly online drop-in sessions, specially designed for nonbinary BIPOC youth. By joining us, you'll receive honoraria ($$$), volunteer hours, and yes, we'll even make sure you're well-fed. You'll gain valuable leadership skills, expand your network, and forge new friendships. Our dedicated staff and your fellow peers will be there every step of the way to support you. Plus, you'll receive training for workshop facilitation to further enhance your skills.
Ready to make a positive impact and connect with a vibrant community? Join us in shaping this exciting program!
