G2G Rail Trail is always looking for Trail Maintenance Volunteers to help out with the general maintenance of the trail. Select the activities you are interested in and we will reach out to you to provide more details and a TMV Permit if required.
The G2G Rail Trail community is made up of a variety of volunteers who have come together over the years to contribute toward the betterment and longevity of the 990-acre linear park! Thanks to our passionate trail users and volunteers who have worked hard to maintain the trail, the G2G Rail Trail Experience offers an exceptional outdoor recreation asset for all to enjoy.
To develop and maintain a continuous, safe and fully inclusive G2G Rail Trail Experience that is 132 km’s of linear, multi-use green space from the 401 corridors at Guelph, Ontario to the shores of Lake Huron at Goderich, Ontario. G2G Rail Trail is a natural, historical and culturally significant conservation corridor that supports community recreation and active transportation promotes health and well-being and brings awareness to rural agriculture, heritage, and the environment. These lands were traditionally governed by the Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee peoples, in accordance with the Dish with One Spoon Treaty. We acknowledge this is with the intention of recognizing and respecting the connection that Indigenous Nations have to this land.
