About This Opportunity
Join TCCSA for Photovoice 2.0, a United Way-funded community arts program! We are looking for energetic volunteers to help us facilitate a series of workshops that combine photography, storytelling, and zine-making to empower local community members.
Volunteer Roles:
- Event Support: Helping with set-up, greeting participants, and guiding them to our downtown and Markham locations.
- Creative Assistance: Supporting participants during photography, story-telling and zine-making sessions (no professional experience required, but an interest in arts is a plus!).
- Logistics: Assisting with mini-photo printing and session flow.
*Feel free to join in on the creative activities during the sessions! Full Schedule (Volunteers arrive 30m early for setup & stay 30m for wrap-up):
1. April 25 (Sat): 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM | Photography Outing (Downtown - 247 Spadina Ave)
2. May 3 (Sun): 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM | Photography Workshop (Markham - 3636 Steeles Ave E)
3. May 9 (Sat): 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM | Storytelling Session (Markham)
4. May 16 (Sat): 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM | Storytelling Session (Markham)
5. May 23 (Sat): 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM | Zine-making Workshop (Markham)
6. July 04 (Sat): 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM | Zine Production (Markham)
7. August: Final Showcase (Date/Time TBD)
