YRES Event Support Assistant

York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada's Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Alberta. We are looking for a Volunteer Event Support Assistant—someone devoted to giving back to their community, making an impact, and who loves socializing. 

The YRES Event Support Assistant is responsible for: 

- Arriving to the event on-time and in professional attire 

- Assisting artists with set-up and clean-up for installations

- Moving art installations

- Be able to lift heavy objects 

- Having a professional and friendly demeanor in helping artists 

- Arrive and leave the event independently 

- Represent the YRES in a professional manner

Heintzman House, 135 Bay Thorn Dr, Thornhill, ON L3T 3V1

Date & Time: 

Thursday, April 23, 3:00PM-7:00PM

Sunday, April 26, 4:00PM-6:00PM

Shift: TBD

Who We're Looking For: 

- Minimum age: 12 

-  Able to independently arrive to work on time 

- Passionate about volunteering and excited to learn 

- Can commit to scheduled time of the shift

- Fluency in English

- Highly organized, detail-orientated and capable of managing multiple tasks
