Youth Volunteer – Calgary Public Library

WITH CALGARY PUBLIC LIBRARY

Summary

Calgary Public Library invites youth volunteers aged 12 and up (Grade 7 and higher) to engage with the community by assisting in various programs. Volunteer roles include Coding Buddies, Math Quest, School Support / Homework Help, Reading Buddies, and Creative Writing Club facilitation. The library provides a certificate of hours or reference letter for volunteers needing documentation for school or future roles.

Volunteers help bring library programs to life—supporting literacy, STEM learning, arts, and community engagement. They play a direct role in youth learning and library outreach efforts. The library staff coordinates matching volunteers to roles that suit their interests and availability.
