York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada's Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Alberta. We are looking for a FLY Conference Volunteer — someone devoted to giving back to their community, making an impact, and who enjoys working with youth in educational settings.

The FLY Conference Volunteer is responsible for:

-Arriving independently to the event on-time and in professional attire

- Assisting with classroom presentations and interactive activities

- Supporting Grade 7–8 students throughout workshops and discussions

- Helping facilitate activities related to stress management and mental health awareness

- Assisting with event set-up, organization, and clean-up

- Providing feedback on the event experience

Who We're Looking For: 

- Minimum age: 12 

- Able to independently arrive to work on time 

- Passionate about volunteering and excited to learn 

- Can commit to scheduled time of the shift

- Fluency in English

- Highly organized, detail-orientated and capable of managing multiple tasks
