About This Opportunity
Our weekly volunteers are an essential part of keeping the sanctuary running. This is a hands-on, physical role that includes cleaning barns and stalls, maintaining pastures and grounds, preparing resident meals, and other general sanctuary tasks. You may also be lifting bales of hay and straw or bags of feed, so volunteers need to be comfortable with physical work.
Volunteers commit to one 4-hour shift each week.
Requirements:
- Volunteers must be 18 years or older
- A police background check is required
- All potential volunteers must attend an orientation
- Ability to perform physical tasks. This is a hands-on role that involves plenty of bending, lifting and carrying.
- Reliability and commitment to your regular weekly shift
Volunteer Requirements
Whether you meet these requirements or not, we encourage you to share your interest in us. You may still be a fit for a different opportunity with our organization.
