Join our team as a Weekend Networking Session Volunteer and help create an engaging debate-themed event where youth can practise public speaking, build confidence, and connect with others.
What You Will Do:
1. Welcome participants and assist with event setup
2. Lead public-speaking icebreakers and debate games
3. Encourage participants to share ideas and join discussions
4. Help present Regional Speech Contest and volunteer opportunity slides
5. Support food and drink distribution
6. Assist with event timing, cleanup, and general operations

Who We’re Looking For:
- Age between 12–30
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable speaking in front of small groups
- Patient, respectful, and supportive when working with seniors
- Ability to guide discussions and encourage participation
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail in preparing slides and handouts
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Ability to adapt communication style to different learning needs
- Commitment to completing basic training
- Fluency in English
- Successful Vulnerable Sector Check (required if over 18)
