Join us in making our Holly Park Neighbourhood Cleanup a meaningful and impactful experience for our community. For this event, we are looking for dedicated Community Event Assistants to help us protect our local environment, connect with neighbors, and keep Surrey clean and green!
Vancouver Region Educational Services (VRES) is a registered non-profit organization committed to providing free and affordable educational services to the Vancouver Region and beyond. VRES provides online and in-person educational services for learners of all ages, including K-12, adults, and seniors.
Community Event Assistant is Responsible For:
• Gathering and distributing cleanup supplies (bags, gloves, and litter pickers) at the meeting point
• Removing litter and debris from designated areas within Holly Park.
• Sorting collected waste into appropriate recycling and garbage containers
Engaging positively with community members and park visitors during the event
Location: 10698 148 St, Surrey, BC V3R 3X6 (Holly Park)
Date: Thursday, July 2, 2026
Time: 11:00am - 1:00pm

Who We're Looking For:
• Minimum age: 12 years or up
• Fluent in English
• Able to independently commute to and arrive at the event location on time (Need help getting here? VRES covers travel costs upon request)
• Comfortable working in an outdoor event setting
• Able to fully commit to the scheduled event timings
• Comfortable interacting with children, family members, and community members
