About This Opportunity
Volunteers may act as greeters as patrons arrive at the entrance. As a greeter, they would have to assess what the patrons want, whether a repair or a part. The greeter would assign a volunteer to work with the patron. As a volunteer, you may be asked to work with a patron to assist and instruct with a bicycle repair. As a volunteer, you may be asked to help disassemble a bicycle and harvest the parts for our inventory. As a volunteer, you may be asked to organize bike parts and patch inner tubes. As a volunteer, you would be expected to assist with clean up of the shop at the end of the shift.
Some basic bicycle repair knowledge would be helpful, but not essential. Volunteers learn from one another to extend their knowledge base.
