This role gives students a chance to serve the university community by helping prospective students discover UCalgary. Volunteers act as Tour Ambassadors, Open House Guides, Event Hosts, or Information Desk Support, welcoming guests and providing campus information. It’s a great way for student volunteers to build public speaking, leadership, and customer service skills in a friendly university setting.
Volunteers gain inside knowledge of university operations and earn recognition for their efforts. The UG Volunteer page explicitly encourages students to join, offering experience that can boost resumes or scholarship applications.
