Children and teens who are immigrants or refugees, as well as their families, can obtain resources and support through the Needs Center. By providing youth with work, education, and social leisure programs backed by psycho-social educators, we want to improve their integration into Canadian society.
Role responsibilities:
Through a network of service-providing organizations in Manitoba, volunteers from Ukraine Relief provide assistance to newcomers from Ukraine. Youth programs, interpretation, and translation are all supported by volunteers.
Ukraine Assistance Depending on the organizations' needs for volunteers and the volunteer's declared areas of interest, volunteers may be recommended to other organizations.
Required skills:
Responsible, dependable, patient, and tolerant; must serve as a positive role model (no past or present gang involvement). Depending on the needs of the organization and the volunteer positions available, additional skills may be needed.
Time commitment:
Daytime, Evening, Weekend, depending on organizational needs and volunteer roles available.
Age restriction: 18+
