Vancouver Region Educational Services (VRES) is looking for a Teaching Assistant Volunteer (Virtual) to help plan lessons, create educational materials, and support engaging online learning experiences for students.
About Vancouver Region Educational Services (VRES):
VRES is a not-for-profit organization that provides individuals in Vancouver Region and beyond with free and affordable educational resources in a safe and supportive environment that inspires personal growth.
Responsibilities:
• Work with a team to help plan lessons and curriculum
• Design informative slideshows and lesson materials
• Teach lessons to students over Zoom or Google Meet
• Help create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:
• Minimum age: 12
• Passionate about volunteering and open to learning new skills and software
• Interest in teaching, mentoring, and supporting student learning
• Comfortable communicating with students in a clear and respectful manner
• Complete training prior to start date
• Can commit to the shift schedule
Assets:
• Fluency/high proficiency in a language other than English
• Previous volunteer experience
• Experience working with children, youth, or educational programs
• Confidence using Zoom, Google Meet, or presentation tools
