About This Opportunity

Objective:


The Ticket Centre Supervisor is an essential part of the Taste of Edmonton Security team, responsible for maintaining a safe and welcoming environment at the Ticket Centre.



There are three (3) shifts per day and we need two (2) volunteers per shift. 



Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Ticket Center Entrance
    • Monitor Ticket Centre entry point allowing only staff and volunteers access
    • Remain alert for potential trouble spots, disruptive behavior, or safety concerns, and report as required.
    • Ensure ticket sellers have their tickets and cash out of reach from customers
    • Know where the cash booths are located and communicate this to guests
    • Be prepared to answer customer questions
    • Use radio communication effectively, or be willing to learn proper radio procedures, including when and how to request assistance from Benaiah Guarding (a reference guide will be provided).
  • Demonstrate confidence when addressing concerns, while always exercising professionalism and discretion.
  • Maintain strong awareness of the festival site, including First Aid, gate numbers, Lost and Found, muster points, and other key locations.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment by disposing of visible litter when necessary.

Note: Benaiah Guarding will be responsible for handing all difficult situations

 

Key Skills Required:

  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Ability to remain patient, courteous and calm in difficult situations
  • Being respectful to people at all times
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Attentive and watchful
