About This Opportunity

As a volunteer, you'll be joining our summer stewardship program where you will caring for recently planted trees, shrubs, and wildflowers through watering, mulching, and ongoing stewardship activities. The work is especially important during the summer months as young plants establish their roots. In this role, you will learn how to identify plants, practice proper planting, mulching and watering techniques and learn about local ecology. 


Summer Forest Care Club is a seasonal stewardship group led by Downsview Park Staff

Meeting: We meet Saturdays at 10:00 AM.

Location: Downsview Park Volunteer Greenhouse - third greenhouse south of 70 Canuck Avenue (Click here for the location on Google Maps)

All tools will be provided and no previous experience is necessary.
