About This Opportunity
The Kitchener-Waterloo Community Orchestra is sustained not only by the musicians who perform, but by the community that supports and shares in our music. As we continue to bring “Orchestral Music Con Gusto” to the Region of Waterloo, we are seeking a volunteer to assist with our social media presence.
About the Role
This volunteer position offers the opportunity to help extend the reach of the KWCO by sharing our concerts, activities, and community connections with a wider audience. Through thoughtful and engaging content, you will help reflect the spirit of our orchestra and the vibrant musical life of our region.
Responsibilities
- Share updates about upcoming concerts and events
- Help highlight performances, guest artists, and community partnerships
- Create and schedule posts across social platforms
- Capture or curate photos and short-form content where possible
- Support ongoing communication with our audience
Qualifications
- An interest in music and the performing arts in Waterloo Region
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram
- A clear and engaging communication style
- Reliability and comfort working independently
- Experience with simple design tools is welcome, but not required
Time Commitment
A flexible commitment with occasional additional support around concert dates.
