In order to stabilize, protect, and support communities that are being overrun by disasters and humanitarian crises, ShelterBox Canada, a registered international disaster relief organization, offers emergency shelter and essential aid.
Role responsibilities:
Fundraise with us.
The people who make up ShelterBox Canada are committed to the idea that safety against disaster and armed conflict is a fundamental human right. Only one in five families received the assistance they required after a tragedy last year, on a global scale. When a crisis occurs, we at ShelterBox are eager to make a world in which no family lacks shelter. You play a crucial role in our movement and together, we are having an impact.
You will assist us in raising money as a ShelterBox Canada Changemaker so that we may further our goal of providing shelter to every family in the event of a disaster. We are looking for individuals who will take part in our campaigns as well as organize their own fundraising activities, such as attending sponsored sporting events, holding craft fairs, throwing a party with a ShelterBox theme, and more.
Activate during emergencies; families require our assistance more than before when huge catastrophes occur. We currently require the assistance of our volunteers to communicate critical updates regarding our ongoing response. While the disaster is receiving media attention, we need your assistance in spreading these vital updates to your network and assisting us in raising money and awareness.
Time commitment:
At least twice a year coordinate a ShelterBox fundraiser of your choosing:
Donate a special occasion to ShelterBox (ex. birthday, Christmas, anniversary, etc.)
Host a Shine for ShelterBox event
Go Off-the-Grid
Host your own fundraising events
Age restriction: 18+
