Summary

Volunteer with the Saskatoon Zoo Society at the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo and help bring environmental education to life for visitors. Their volunteer roles are interpretive and public-facing, meaning you’re engaging with guests and helping them learn through hands-on experiences. Opportunities include working at summer investigation carts using biological artifacts like horns, antlers, tracks, skulls, and other items; helping monitor and interpret in the Butterfly Garden while supporting butterfly safety and sharing pollinator education; and pond-dipping support where you help visitors discover underwater invertebrates alongside staff. Volunteers are expected to commit to at least four three-hour shifts during the summer season (June 1 to the Labour Day long weekend). Eligibility requirements include age 16+ and comfort speaking English, with a police check and vulnerable sector search required for volunteers 18+
