Volunteer at the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre and support the core work that gets food into individual and family hampers. After you register, you can sign up for weekday shifts and help in one of three main areas: sorting donated items into the right bins, repacking bulk food into smaller packages, or working on the emergency food hamper line where hampers are assembled for clients. They share clear expectations for volunteers, including wearing closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing, checking in at the main office, and storing belongings in a locker during your shift. New volunteers complete a registration form and a short skills-based questionnaire to help the team understand Food Bank processes and place you comfortably.
