We are looking for an experienced public relations professional to join our Team. Having a Bachelor degree in media, communications, English or French language, journalism, marketing or a related field are invited to apply. Also, persons with lived experience in neurodiversity are welcome. Neurodiversity can mean an undiagnosed condition, autism, ADHD, LD, ID, mental health concerns, medical complexity (like Diabetes or being dependent on technology to breathe) or other common or rare disorders.

Responsibilities:

- Create and maintain the PIVOT Community brand and image;

- Build relationships with new and existing families, contributors, partners, and media contacts;

- Plan and create social media and marketing content, communicated with the Events Team;

- Approach media outlets for interviews and advertising opportunities;

- Coach leadership and Team Leads in interviews, social media engagement and marketing campaigns;

- Track and report to the Directors of the Board digital metrics to identify and implement most effective strategies.

Preference will be given to applicants with a solid reputation in Canada and strong track record in client relationship-building, and social media engagement within Canada.

Time Commitment: 2-3 hours per week

The Public Relations Manager plans and creates actionable strategies and meets with Team members on Committees like the Events Committee, Family Solutions Committee and Directors of the Board. 

Meetings are held online weekly, every other month or quarterly, depending on the Committee.

** All Team members must reside full time in Canada. **
