About Us: Summit Outreach and Counselling is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth aged 15-25 in Saskatoon and surrounding areas. Our organization specializes in addiction counseling, outreach services, and cultural and pro-social recreational activities, fostering a sense of community and well-being among the youth we serve.
Volunteer Role: We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible volunteers to assist with youth transportation to appointments and provide support during recreational and cultural events. As a volunteer driver, your role will involve safely transporting youth to and from various appointments, including counseling sessions and medical check-ups. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to engage with the youth during cultural and recreational events, providing a positive and supportive presence. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that young individuals have access to the resources they need and can actively participate in the enriching activities we offer.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to the well-being and empowerment of youth
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Flexibility in availability, especially during evenings and weekends
Time Commitment: Flexible, with an estimated commitment of 5-10 hours per month, depending on the number of scheduled events and transportation needs.
