On-Campus Advocates for Healthy Sustainable Food

Location: Post-secondary institutions across Canada
Time Commitment: Approximately 5 hours per week

About the Role

We are seeking passionate and motivated students to serve as On-Campus Advocates for Healthy Sustainable Food. This volunteer role is ideal for students who care about food systems, sustainability, public health, and community engagement, and who want to create meaningful change within their campus food environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with campus food services to suggest and support improvements that promote healthy and sustainable food options.
  • Connect with student clubs, faculty members, sustainability offices, and other relevant stakeholders to build partnerships.
  • Support and help organize campus events, workshops, or campaigns related to healthy sustainable food.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution.
  • Strong interest in sustainability, food systems, public health, or community advocacy.
  • Excellent written and oral
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Previous involvement in campus initiatives or clubs is considered an asset (but not required).
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
