About This Opportunity

Join us to help make our community booth at the New Westminster farmers market fun and interactive for attending families! For this event we are looking for an Event Support Assistant to assist with event coordination, engage with attendees, and facilitate LEGO activities for children. 

Vancouver Region Educational Services (VRES) is a registered non-profit organization committed to providing free and affordable educational services to the Vancouver Region and beyond. VRES provides online and in-person educational services for learners of all ages including K-12, adults, and seniors.

Location: Tipperary Park, New Westminster, BC V3L 1K1

Date: Thursday, July 16, 2026  Time: 2:30 PM - 7:30 PM 

QUALIFICATIONS- 

Who We're Looking For:

  • Minimum age: 12 years or up

  • Fluent in English

  • Able to independently commute to and arrive at the event location on time (Need help getting here? Travel costs maybe reimbursed upon request)

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced event setting 

  • Able to fully commit to the scheduled event timings

  • Comfortable interacting with children, family members, and community members

  • Takes initiative, follows instructions, and can work independently without close supervision
