About This Opportunity
Our Leadership is growing. Are you an experienced professional keen on neurodiverse child, youth, adult and family wellbeing? We are looking for professionals to join our Leaders: seasoned and well connected IT Experts, Accountants, Lawyers, Medical Doctors & professionals in Education, Community Health and Social Services.
** Neurodiverse persons are assets & invited to apply. We celebrate diversity. **
** Applicants must reside full time in Canada for at least 10 years. **
** Preference will be given to applicants in Calgary or Alberta. **
Time commitment:
6-7 hours per month
Leaders meet 10 times a year: hybrid quarterly meetings & annual meetings/events.
Specifically,
March, June, Sept./Oct., Dec.: four 2-hour quarterly leader meetings,
March: one 2-hour Annual General Meeting & leader dinner (hybrid),
June: one all-day Family Fest community event,
Sept./Oct.: one 3-hour Strategic Planning Meeting (hybrid),
Sept./Oct.: one 3-hour Volunteer Family Acknowledgement Lunch (inperson), and
Summer & Winter: two 3-hour inperson Fundraising events.
Other activities or Committee Meetings are held in-between formal meetings. The type & frequency depend on Leader role.
A three-year mandate is preferred (renewable).
Responsibilities:
Leaders Chair or Co-chair a working committee composed of devoted volunteers who advance operations to transform family stress into relief for neurodiverse families and communities. Committee work ranges from AI/Technology, Storytelling, Public Relations and Promotions, Education, Fundraising and Casinos, Campaigning and Communications, and Community Engagement.
