The SPCA St. John’s is an organization that deeply appreciates the dedication and support of its volunteers. These individuals play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of animals in our care and maintaining the efficient functioning of our shelter and thrift store.
Basic Requirements for Volunteers:
Age Requirement: Volunteers must be 18 years of age and over.
Commitment: Volunteers should be able to commit to at least six months of regular volunteering to provide stability and consistency in our programs.
Email Address: A valid email address is required for communication and coordination purposes.
Volunteer Opportunities Available:
Thrift Store Attendants: Assist in managing our thrift store operations.
Cat Enrichment: Spend time with our cats, providing enrichment activities and companionship.
Dog Walkers/Enrichment: Help exercise and socialize our dogs through walks and enrichment activities.
Shelter Helpers: Assist with various tasks around the shelter, including cleaning, feeding, and organizing.
Maintenance Workers: Help with maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our facilities.
Special Events: Volunteer at special events to help with setup, promotion, and coordination.
