Volunteer with the Moose Jaw Humane Society and support animals in care through a few different program options, depending on what fits your comfort level and schedule. The Dog Program includes spending quality time with dogs through activities like walking, play, and enrichment. The Cat Program focuses on providing attention and enrichment for cats and kittens through hands-on interaction and support. For kids ages 5 to 13, the Book Buddies program is a structured way to build reading skills while also helping with animal socialization and enrichment. If you like being out in the community, Special Events volunteers help represent MJHS at markets and events by supporting set up and take down, selling merchandise or tickets, and helping create a welcoming presence for supporters. There’s also a Foster Program for people who can provide temporary homes for animals who need extra support, including pregnant and nursing pets and animals recovering from illness or injury, with the organization providing supplies and veterinary guidance. Volunteer hours at the shelter are listed as weekdays from 12 pm to 3 pm, with event hours varying.
