Medical First Responder Unit
The Medical First Responder Unit is a volunteer driven initiative that provides trained first aid responders to deliver immediate medical care at community events, public gatherings, and during emergencies until advanced care arrives. The program focuses on high-quality training, professionalism, and teamwork, giving volunteers the opportunity to develop medical, leadership and real-world response skills while making a meaningful impact on safety and wellbeing in their community.
Medical First Responder Unit Requirements
- Age 18+
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check (required after the volunteer information session)
- Standard First Aid CPR BLS (HCP) or CPR C certification (if you don't have one we will provide training)
- Commitment: 60 volunteer hours per year and attendance at training sessions
- Resume with 3 references
