Lead a Club

WITH WATERLOO 4-H ASSOCIATION

Summary

Clubs are the heart of the 4-H experience. It is where youth follow our experiential learning model to truly Learn To Do By Doing. 4-H clubs are comprised of a minimum of six 4-H members, ages 9-21. At least two trained and screened volunteers lead the club. The club decides on a topic of interest. Members learn about the topic during 4-H meetings through instruction and activities provided by the volunteers. About Waterloo 4-H Association We are a proud group of volunteers dedicated to providing the 4-H program to youth in Waterloo. Volunteering with 4-H is truly a unique and rewarding experience. The minimum age for a 4-H volunteer in Ontario is 18 years old. The 4-H program is based on positive youth development where volunteers take a strength-based approach to build youth as leaders in their communities and assets to the world. Volunteers mentor young people to build their skills, knowledge and confidence. Being a 4-H volunteer provides the opportunity to help build your community, develop youth leaders and enhance your own skills as a volunteer.
