Position Overview:
As a Laundry Assistant Volunteer supports laundering of residents clothing, machine washing, tumble drying, clean laundry folding and ensures residents’ belongings aren’t mixed up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and fold clean laundry.
- Help with the delivery of clean personal clothing items to each floor.
- Assist with folding clothes and checking cloth labels.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be at least 16 years of age. However, some roles may require a higher level of maturity or prefer adult candidates.
- Strong communication skills in English, Cantonese, or Mandarin are required. However, certain roles may require the ability to interact with residents in their native languages.
- Successful completion of the Tuberculosis (TB) screening and Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- A genuine interest in helping residents with compassion, understanding, and patience.
- Demonstrated dependability, initiative, flexibility, and reliability.
- Willingness to attend additional training as needed.
Commitment & Locations:
- Available Monday to Sunday for 3-4 hour shifts or as assigned.
- A minimum commitment of 6 months is required.
- The position will be at the Mon Sheong Richmond Hill Long-Term Care Centre (11199 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, ON)

- Willing to undergo a background or police records check
