Black Engineers of
Canada (BEC) is a Non for Profit Professional Organization geared towards
providing a safe environment for Black Engineers where they can aspire and
become a better version of themselves. We empower and uplift the Black
Engineers community, including youth and aspiring engineers, by advocating for
equitable opportunities, enhancing living conditions, and promoting mental
health improvement. We achieve this through robust mentorship programs,
impactful networking events, innovative educational initiatives, safe spaces
for difficult conversations, and dedicated research efforts. We are committed
to leveraging all our human and financial resources towards realizing a
stronger and more inclusive community.
The Job
We are searching for an IT Infrastructure Specialist (Volunteer) who will handle key responsibilities by dedicating 5 - 7 hours weekly of volunteer time.
The IT Infrastructure
Specialist (Volunteer) supports the design, implementation, and maintenance of
Black Engineers of Canada's cloud infrastructure, networks, security protocols,
and hosting environments. This role helps ensure the organization's digital
platforms remain reliable, secure, and scalable to support growing membership,
virtual events, volunteer operations, and national programs. The successful
candidate will contribute their technical expertise to strengthen the
technology foundation that supports BEC's mission and impact across Canada.
