Volunteer with International Women of Saskatoon and support newcomer programming through hands on, practical roles that make services more accessible. Volunteer options include leading or assisting with English as an Additional Language programming (their Drop in EAL sessions run Mondays and Tuesdays from 1:00 to 2:30 pm), providing one on one tutoring for English or computer literacy (usually once a week for 1 to 1.5 hours during weekday office hours), or supporting parents by volunteering as a childminder (supervising children ages 18 months and up and leading safe, age appropriate activities). They also look for volunteers to help at special events as set up and clean up support, or as community ambassadors at booths for events, and they welcome volunteers who can support children and youth programs through chaperoning, facilitation support, room support, or kitchen and food prep help. If you have a skill you want to share, there are also roles for group session facilitators in areas like fitness, yoga, workshops, arts and crafts, sewing or knitting, and cooking or baking.
