About This Opportunity
Looking for a fun and meaningful way to give back to your community? Join us as a volunteer for the 2026 Iceman Cup Charity Hockey Tournament and help make a difference for people living with diabetes.
The Iceman Cup was created to honour the life and legacy of Jimmy "The Iceman" MacNeil, a beloved Brantford community member remembered for his generosity, community spirit, and love of hockey.
.Following Jimmy's passing due to diabetes-related complications, his family partnered with Diabetes Canada to create this annual tournament in his memory.
Now in its second year, the event is organized by Jimmy's son, Jake MacNeil, alongside his wife Lori and daughters Jordan and Jenna. Together, they are raising funds to support diabetes research and Diabetes Canada's D-Camps, helping children and families affected by type 1 diabetes.
By volunteering, you'll:
- Support diabetes research and programs for children living with type 1 diabetes.
- Help create a memorable community event honouring Jimmy MacNeil's legacy.
- Meet new people and be part of an exciting hockey event.
- Gain valuable volunteer experience while making a meaningful impact.
If you'd like to be part of this special event, we'd love to hear from you.
