Come on out and support children with cancer and their families at Horsepower for Hope Infinite Hope. On Sat, July 4th there will be a supercharged morning rally across our beautiful City of Edmonton, an afternoon of fun at the Edmonton EXPO Centre

About This Opportunity

This exciting day features a 200+ car Show & Shine, food trucks, and free family-friendly activities. Best of all, 100% of the funds raised go directly to supporting the Kids with Cancer Society. Volunteers will be provided breaks. To participate, please reach out to joanam@kidswithcancer.ca 
Event Details
  • Date: Saturday, July 4th, 2026
  • Location: Edmonton EXPO Centre (South Parking Lots) | 7515 118 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB
  • What to expect: It is a full day of high-energy activities! Please note that most roles will require you to be on your feet and moving for the duration of your shift.

Available Shifts - The spots will be filled by those responding first. 

July 3rd - 

  • Day Before July 3rd - (9am - 1pm) - 4 Spots Open 

July 4th - 

  • Morning Setup at EXPO - (9:30am - noon) - 12 Spots Open 
  • Family Stop Support - Location will be anywhere around Edmonton - (8am - noon) - 7 Spots Open 
  • Rally Stop Support - TBD - (8:15am - 12:30pm) -  6 Spots Open 
  • Expo Centre Support - (Whole shift - noon -5:30pm) - 13 Spots Open 
  • Expo Centre Support - ( Shift 1 - 11:45am - 2:30pm) - 8 Spots Open 
  • Expo Centre Support - (Shift 2 - 2:20pm - 5:00pm) - 6 Spots Open

Morning Setup at Expo Duties may include:

-        Unloading equipment

-        Setting up tables,chairs, and tents

-        Assisting vendors with their booth setup 

-        Placing barricades and fence panels

-        Putting up signs


Please note that this role will require standing and physical labour outdoors for the duration of your shift. 



Rally Stop Support Duties May Include:

-        Hosting, giving instructions and providing support to teams during the activities

-        Setting up and resetting activities between teams 

-        Assisting with keeping and recording scores and helping teams complete challenges/activities within the allotted time

-        Directing foot and vehicle traffic 

-        Offering general support where needed

-        May be indoor or outdoor


Expo Center Event Support Duties May Include:

-        Helping direct foot traffic and vehicles 

-        Assisting members of the public and rally drivers to find the designated parking areas 

-        Speaking with rally drivers and facilitating track rides for children receiving services from the Kids with Cancer Society

-        Answering general questions or providing directions

-        Hosting activities or games

-        Setting up and resetting activity stations 

-        Assisting with scorekeeping

-        Offering general support where needed


Please note some duties will require standing outdoors for the duration of your shift. If this may be a concern or accommodation is needed, please let us know.
