Riverview Health Centre relies on volunteers to enhance care across several service areas. On any given day, volunteers may support patients through friendly or pet visitation, assist in the dining room or recreation, operate the gift shop, or provide office support for education and HR departments.
These roles are available during daytime, evenings, and weekends, and typically involve shifts of four hours, scheduled once per week. Volunteers aged 15+ go through a structured onboarding process that includes application, interview, screening (criminal and abuse checks), training, and orientation.
