Grant Researcher & Writer (Volunteer)

NDMUA is looking for motivated and detail-oriented volunteers to join our team to assist with researching funding opportunities and preparing grant applications. This role focuses on identifying grants, sponsorships, and community funding opportunities that support sustainability, deconstruction, material reuse, and environmental initiatives.
Volunteers will work collaboratively with the leadership team to help gather application requirements, assist with proposal writing, organize supporting documents, and track deadlines and submissions. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in nonprofit operations, sustainability, research, administration, and grant writing experience.
Responsibilities:
* Research grant and funding opportunities
* Assist with writing grant proposals and letters of intent
* Help organize application documents and supporting materials
* Track submission deadlines and reporting dates
* Research sponsorships, foundations, and community funding programs
* Support ongoing fundraising and outreach initiatives
Requirements:
* Strong written English skills
* Good research and organizational skills
* Attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
* Interest in sustainability, nonprofit work, or community development
* Previous grant writing experience is an asset but not required
