About SJS Canada: Stevens-Johnson Syndrome Canada is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to promoting health by providing support, counseling, and information to individuals affected by Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN), as well as their families and caregivers.
Role Overview:
As a General Volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting various aspects of our organization. Given our virtual operations, this position offers flexibility and the opportunity to contribute from any location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Community Outreach: Assist in raising awareness about SJS/TEN through online campaigns and community engagement.
- Support Services: Participate in organizing virtual support groups and educational programs for patients and caregivers.
- Administrative Tasks: Help with data entry, email correspondence, and maintaining our online resources. • Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of virtual events and webinars.
Qualifications: •
Passion for health promotion and supporting individuals affected by medical conditions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Comfortable with virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Workspace).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous volunteer experience is a plus but not required.
