About This Opportunity
As a volunteer gardener, you will assist in maintaining the gardens and outdoor space including planting, weeding, and raking leaves at Doane House Hospice in Newmarket, ON.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Lawn and garden maintenance: weeding, watering, raking, trimming, and planting as requested
2. Work safely with proper hydration, own sturdy (closed toe and heel) footwear and clothing appropriate to the weather (e.g. hat and sunscreen)
3. Work safely with equipment and gardening tools

- Minimum 16 years old
- Commitment to work safely with own sturdy footwear and weather appropriate clothing
- Physical ability to garden and do yard work including pushing, bending, kneeling, and lifting

- Willing to undergo a background or police records check
