About This Opportunity

Fresh Food Box Volunteer

Volunteers help support the Fresh Food Box program by assisting with the preparation and distribution of affordable, healthy food to community members. Responsibilities may include sorting and inspecting produce, packing food boxes, organizing supplies, loading and unloading deliveries, setting up and cleaning work areas, and assisting with distribution days. Volunteers may also help greet participants and provide general customer service.

Volunteers can expect a friendly, team-oriented environment that involves standing, lifting light to moderate weights, and working with fresh fruits and vegetables. Training and guidance will be provided.

Requirements:

Reliable and punctual
Able to work cooperatively with staff and other volunteers
Comfortable performing light to moderate physical activity, including lifting and carrying boxes
Commitment to food safety and cleanliness practices
Positive attitude and willingness to help the community
