About This Opportunity
As a Founding Board Director, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction, governance, and long-term sustainability of IWIL Ignite Foundation, a Canadian nonprofit advancing AI literacy, digital skills, and workforce transformation.
Board Directors are expected to provide strategic guidance and governance oversight, attend quarterly Board meetings and the Annual General Meeting, review and approve organizational strategies, policies, and budgets, and uphold the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and governance.
You will also serve as an ambassador for IWIL Ignite by championing its mission within your professional and community networks, helping build partnerships, collaborations, funding opportunities, and other strategic relationships. Directors are encouraged to contribute their expertise through Board committees and special initiatives that support the organization's growth and impact.
This is a remote volunteer position requiring approximately 4 to 8 hours per month, with a two year renewable term.
Eligibility Requirements:
- At least 30 years of age.
- Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.
- 20+ years of leadership experience with a passion for social impact, strategic governance, and nonprofit growth.
