About This Opportunity

As a food bank volunteer, you’ll play a key role in supporting Nourish House Food Bank by helping pack client food orders, keeping shelves stocked, organizing donations, vacuum packing large quantities into more manageable amounts, and creating a friendly, welcoming space for folks who visit us.

Must be able to:

• Lift 40 lbs when needed 

• Stand for the duration of the shift and sustain repetitive physical movements 

• Adhere to required Health and Safety procedures 

Maintain client confidentiality

• Be able to stay calm and patient in fast-paced or challenging situations

• Basic computer skills, including entering data and managing appointments in 

online systems

• Awareness of basic food safety practices and safe handling of food
