About This Opportunity
The Event Support provides vital logistical, operational, and customer service support for community events.
Core Responsibilities
1. Pre-Event Preparation
- Venue Setup: Prepare the space by ensuring cleanliness and configuring tables and chairs according to the specific requirements of the artist.
- Front-of-House Readiness: Review ticket sales data and set up the entrance area to efficiently process prepaid tickets and walk-up door purchases.
- Operations & Facilities: Inspect washrooms to ensure they are fully stocked and functioning. If the café is scheduled to operate, ensure that all necessary supplies are ready.
- Artist Relations: Warmly greet and welcome arriving artists to the venue, assisting them with initial orientation.
2. During the Event
- Customer Service: Act as the primary point of contact to answer questions from both the audience and the artists. Greet audience members as they arrive.
- Ticket Management: Safely and accurately handle ticket sales at the entrance.
- Café Operations: Run the café area, including operating the coffee machine (when active).
3. Post-Event & Wrap-Up
- Venue Restoration: Clear and clean the space, returning all chairs, tables, and equipment to their designated storage areas.
- Financial Reporting: Document and summarize total ticket and café sales from the shift.
- Final Facilities Check: Perform a final check of the washroom facilities.
- Audience Send-off: Assist departing audience members with any final questions as they exit the venue.
Note: Additional duties may be required depending on the specific type of event.
