Role Summary
Voice of Men 360 is seeking a dedicated and organized Event Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of community events, workshops, and awareness initiatives focused on men’s mental health, well-being, and community engagement.
This role plays a key part in bringing VoM360’s mission to life by creating safe, inclusive, and impactful spaces for dialogue, learning, and connection across diverse communities.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute virtual and in-person events (e.g., workshops, community meetings, awareness campaigns, and special observances).
- Develop event plans including timelines, logistics, and resource requirements.
- Liaise with internal teams (Programs & Services, Outreach, Marketing, and Funding Coordinators) to align events with organizational priorities.
- Coordinate speakers, facilitators, and partners, including scheduling and communications.
- Support promotion of events in collaboration with the Marketing team (content, outreach, and engagement strategies).
- Manage event registrations, attendance tracking, and participant communication.
- Ensure events are delivered in a professional, inclusive, and culturally sensitive manner.
- Collect feedback and prepare post-event reports, including outcomes and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of events, contacts, and partnerships.
- Report all developments to the President and Secretary.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong interest in community engagement, mental health, or nonprofit work.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in event planning, coordination, or project management (preferred but not required).
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and communities.
- Comfortable using digital tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Workspace, email platforms).
- Ability to take initiative and work independently when needed.
- Alignment with VoM360’s mission, values, and commitment to positive masculinity and inclusive community support.
Qualifications

Post-secondary education in Event Management, Social Work, Community Development, Communications, or a related field (completed or in progress) is considered an asset.

Previous experience in event planning, coordination, or community engagement (volunteer or professional) is preferred.

Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks and timelines effectively.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.

Experience working with diverse communities, including men, youth, newcomers, and marginalized groups, is an asset.

Familiarity with virtual event platforms (e.g., Zoom, StreamYard) and basic digital tools (Google Workspace, email marketing platforms) is preferred.

Knowledge or interest in men’s mental health, well-being, and community-based programming is highly desirable.

Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions.

Valid Police Record Check (Vulnerable Sector) may be required for certain programs or events.
Time Commitment
- Approximately 5 hours per week, depending on event schedules.
- Flexibility required during event periods (evenings or weekends, as needed).
- Minimum 6 month commitment preferred.
