About This Opportunity
What You’ll Do
As the Event Coordinator, you will:
- Lead all event logistics from planning to event-day execution
- Coordinate volunteers, activity leads, and community partners
- Work closely with ALS Society and families to ensure a meaningful event experience
- Manage timelines, run-of-show, and on-site operations
- Support marketing, outreach, and participant engagement
- Ensure the event reflects our mission of hope, remembrance, and action
What We’re Looking For
- The time commitment for this role is around 1 hour every 2 weeks for preparation, starting several months in advance. As the event approaches, involvement increases to about 1 hour per week in the weeks leading up to it. Finally, on the event day itself, you’ll need to dedicate approximately 5 to 7 hours to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Clear communicator who works well with teams
- Experience in events or project coordination (preferred, not required)
- Ability to stay calm and focused in a busy environment
- Passion for supporting the ALS community and creating uplifting experiences
