Job Description


Job Title: Crisis Line Volunteer Responder

Program: Interior Crisis Line Network - Williams Lake Site 

Job Summary: To provide non-directive support to callers

Reports to: Team Lead of Crisis Intervention & Prevention 


Qualifications:

19+ in age

Must be able to pass a criminal record check. 

Good listening and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work as a team member.

Willingness to participate in ongoing training and supervision.

Knowledge of community resources.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

To maintain confidentiality.

To support the mission and goals of our agency.

To function as part of the team answering crisis line calls.

In answering crisis line calls, to provide non-directive, emotional support and information (re: counselling, medical, legal & police services).

To attend monthly group sessions & further consult with the supervisor as necessary.


Remote Opportunity:

This role offers the flexibility of working remotely, allowing you to make a meaningful impact from the comfort of your home while receiving comprehensive training and support.

  • Must Reside In British Columbia Canada
  • Minimum of 60hrs of training that we provide you.
