We are looking for responsible adults age 19 and over to help us by attending our assigned 2 hour shifts performing super easy tasks at Bingo World Richmond Hill (350 Newkirk Rd) and/or Rama Gaming Centre (991 Kennedy Road) in Scarborough.
You must be 19 years old or older.
As a volunteer you will be representing our charity in exchange for us receiving a share of the proceeds at the gaming centre. Your contribution is worth $1000+ per hour volunteered. This money goes directly to our registered charity and helps us provide free and subsidized programming to promote better mental health through music and other artistic programming. Our primary service group are people who have been touched by mental health issues, but we also serve people with low income and at risk.
Typically you will walk around the gaming centre and do some light tidying and assist the staff there with some minor tasks. You always work with a partner and you will be provided with our mandatory charity volunteer shirt after completing some easy standardized training provided by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Association. You can commit to as many or as few hours as you wish but once you commit it is very important that you follow through as our charity phases financial penalties if we don't show up, wear the uniform or follow the instructions provided to us during the training. However, it really is very easy once you have participated once. Your first shift will always be with an experienced volunteer that will guide you with the specific duties at the gaming centre you volunteer at.
We are assigned various shifts including, day-time, afternoons, evening, weekends and holidays. Once you contact us we will share the schedule and you can sign up for those shifts that suit YOUR schedule. We will be greatful whether you do one or several shifts. We try to offer our volunteers interesting, fun and enriching opportunities in exchange for their time. Sometimes we offer an honorarium.
