CoSA Ottawa is seeking committed, community-minded individuals to join its volunteer Board of Directors.
For over 25 years, CoSA Ottawa has worked to increase community safety by supporting the safe reintegration of individuals returning from federal custody. Many of the individuals we support are highly isolated and stigmatized. Through trained volunteers and professional staff, CoSA Ottawa delivers an evidence-based model shown to significantly reduce reoffending and strengthen public safety.
Board members provide governance oversight and strategic leadership to ensure the organization’s sustainability, accountability, and impact.
Key responsibilities include:
– Attending monthly board meetings (virtual and/or in person)
– Serving on at least 1 committee
– Contributing to strategic planning and policy development
– Supporting fundraising and community engagement efforts
– Acting as an ambassador for CoSA Ottawa within the community
– Attending CoSA Ottawa community events when available
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in fundraising or philanthropy, communications, advocacy, or community engagement and program evaluation and development. We welcome diverse perspectives and lived experience that reflect the communities we serve.
