About This Opportunity
Blue Door Support Services is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist at Bingo World & Gaming Richmond Hill.
This role helps Blue Door secure charitable gaming proceeds that directly fund essential supports for vulnerable men, women, youth, and children in our community who are experiencing homelessness.
Volunteers represent Blue Door by providing exceptional customer service, assisting players, and sharing how funds raised support those without a home.
V
olunteer shifts are scheduled based on availability. Typical time commitments are:
- Thursday afternoons: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM, or 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
- Sunday nights: 10:00pm - Midnight
Specific shifts will be confirmed in advance based on volunteer preference.
Key Responsibilities :
Welcome guests and thank them for their participation
Circulate the gaming floor and provide friendly assistance
Maintain a clean and welcoming environment (collect used products, clear cups/plates, sanitize touch screens, sort waste)
Respond to customer needs or refer them to staff when needed
Share information about how charitable funds support the community
Requirements:
Strong interpersonal skills and comfort interacting with the public
Ability to represent Blue Door professionally
Attention to detail and willingness to maintain a welcoming space
Ability to commit to a short volunteer shift
