Volunteer with Humane Society Yukon and help care for animals through a mix of direct animal support and behind-the-scenes help. With the animals, volunteers can support things like dog walking (their biggest need), kitty cuddling, adopt-a-dog-for-a-day, and puppy play and cleanup during listed drop-in hours. In the kennel, volunteers help keep things running through laundry, light cleaning, sorting donations, taking inventories, and washing toys and dishes, plus seasonal help like snow shoveling and special projects. There are also options to support fundraising and office or admin tasks (data entry, IT help, organizing, website and communications), and they also look for coordinators, volunteer committee members, and board members.
