Ambassador Volunteer

Are you a warm and friendly person who likes to help people find their way? Be the welcoming face of our hospital as an Ambassador!

The Nova Scotia Health Authority (NSHA) is dedicated to delivering top-quality healthcare services to the residents of Nova Scotia, as well as offering specialized assistance to individuals from the Maritimes and Atlantic Canada. NSHA proudly oversees a network of hospitals, health centres, and community-based programs that are spread throughout the province. 

Why Volunteer with NSHA?

• Note: Must be 16 years of age and fully vaccinated

Time Commitment for volunteers: 

• Volunteers are requested to commit to approximately two or three hours per week on a consistent day, for a minimum of four months
• Depending on the specific site and volunteer position of interest, the minimum commitment may be greater than four months

About the Ambassador volunteer position:

• Ability to provide directions and information for patients and visitors who enter the facility to help alleviate stress during their visit
• Must be a friendly individual who can provide a warm welcome any to patient, family or visitors entering the NSHA facility
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, busy environment 
• Enjoy meeting new people
