You will be responsible for leading the planning and execution of the 19th Annual ALS Golf Tournament of Hope in support of the organization’s mission. The event takes place Friday, August 13th at Rivershore Gold Links in Kamloops, BC.
Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning: Lead event timeline, logistics,
program flow, and day‑of operations.
·
Fundraising: Works with committee members and
the ALS BC staff to align activities to help raise fundraising goals.
·
Sponsorship: Coordinate sponsor recognition and
serve as the day‑of contact for sponsors and key donors.
·
Volunteer Management: Recruit, schedule, and
guide volunteers; assign roles and provide on-site support.
·
Guest Experience: Oversee registration, welcome
activities, and ensure smooth play and participant enjoyment.
·
Budget & Operations: Track expenses,
coordinate vendors, and ensure safety and venue requirements are met.
·
Post-Event: Lead teardown, support reporting,
acknowledgements, and event debrief.
Qualification and Skills
·
Familiarity with coordinating shotgun golf
tournaments or outdoor sporting events is an asset
·
Experience in event coordination
·
Strong organizational, leadership, and
problem-solving skills
·
Excellent communication skills
·
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a
live-event environment
Time Commitment
·
Flexible hours
·
On-site presence required (approx. 12 hours on
event day)
·
Ability to work outdoors and be on your feet for
extended periods
